As the countdown to Christmas nears, our hearts look forward to the traditional food and events of Christmas in New Mexico.

We are excited to share with everyone that 2015 marks the 50th year that the Inn of the Governors has been welcoming travelers to Santa Fe.

The Inn of the Governors begins its holiday tradition this Wednesday, December 10, at 2pm with the annual decorating and lighting of our Christmas tree by both our employees and those guests who are staying with us.

I met with Chef Martin Rios of Restaurant Martin last week to learn more about his career leading up to his latest venture, his favorite menu items, his philosophy, and what exciting things are happening at his restaurant.

I attended the preview of the Miguel Covarrubias: Drawing a Cosmopolitan Line this morning and hope you will take the time to experience this wonderful new exhibit at the Georgia O’Keeffe museum.

This coming weekend ushers in the transition from summer to fall, bringing with it crisp, cool breezes, blooming Chamisa, shorter nights, and Santa Fe’s very own Renaissance Fair hosted by El Rancho de las Golondrinas.

I think New Mexico was the greatest experience I ever had from the outside world.

This year marks the 302nd anniversary of Fiesta de Santa Fe. The original Fiesta began in 1712 as a celebration of cultures (Spanish and Native American) coming together in peace.
