Turquoise is Santa Fe
Most times when you think about turquoise you think of the beautiful stone that is in your favorite piece of southwestern jewelry or the quintessential color of the wooden door on Canyon Road. But, for now this important color means that Santa Fe has reached top tier for the New Mexico Covid Map.
What does this mean for you, our valued guest? New Mexico Safe Certified businesses, such as the Inn and Del Charro, are able to accommodate you and maintain safety standards.
Galleries and retail spaces are open with 75% indoor occupancy and no restrictions on outdoor spaces. Visit Canyon Road and stop by Kakawa House for a chocolate elixir on your way back to the Inn.
Restaurants are open with 75% indoor and outdoor occupancy. Please check your favorite restaurants prior to arrival, as some have new days and hours of operation. Reservations are highly recommended for weekend visits.
Wanting to visit the museums? The state museums are open and are accepting same day entry. The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is pre-purchase tickets (up to one month) only.
Another fun place that you will need tickets in advance is Meow Wolf. It is an interactive art installation that can’t really be explained and has to be experienced.
Bars and clubs are open at 33% maximum capacity for indoor occupancy and 75% for outdoor spaces.
The pueblos are still closed and we do not have an expected opening date for this year.
Visit Bandelier National Monument for a day trip and to experience the Anasazi ruins. This trip is just a little over and hours’ drive from Santa Fe. We recommend including the Valles Caldera for an extended time in our beautiful outdoors.
